CranioSacral therapy – or brain therapy – relieves strain on connective tissues (fascia) and improves brain function. The CranioSacral and fascial systems protect the brain, nerves and connective tissue while ensuring that the cerebrospinal fluid nourishes the entire nervous system by delivering nutrients and removing waste.
CranioSacral therapy brings your body back into balance, thus improving physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It alleviates pain and stress, improves brain and spinal cord function and enhances resistance to illness and disease.
What To Expect During A CranioSacral Therapy Session
During your CranioSacral therapy session, you'll wear comfortable clothes with your shoes removed. The CranioSacral therapist will have you lay back on a massage table. He or she will then gently move your head, arms and legs while feeling for tension and allowing your body to self-correct. This causes no discomfort – some people even fall asleep during their session.
